小编笔记:Again,又是一篇有趣的短文。
当你留意到时态时,你会发现第一句就非常典型,上周(确定了过去时的故事背景)夫人去了went伦敦,但她并不熟悉伦敦(这里切回一般现在时does not know,因为夫人不熟悉伦敦是个长期的、一般性的状况),她迷路了(这句话再次回到过去时lost,因为这个迷路就是上周发生的。)
follow NCE的艾宾浩斯遗忘曲线抵抗魔法,这节课反复用到了我们曾经学习和使用过的单词、短语、语言点,比如Tourist这个单词我记得在海关那节课就学过,而English, German这样的词在很早就学过,且在刚刚过去讲 1995年赛车比赛的课程里也重复过好些国家的单词。。
不过我最喜欢的还是这两句,the man smailed pleasantly, he read the phrase slowly...以及这句经典永流传的 “Excuse me”

Last week Mrs Mills went to London. She does not know London very well, and she lost her way.Suddenly, she saw a man near a bus-stop. “ I can ask him the way.” She said to herself.
“Excuse me,” she said.
“Can you tell me the way to King Street please?”
The man smiled pleasantly. He did not understand English! He spoke German. He was a tourist.
Then he put his hand into his pocket, and took out a phrase-book.
He opened the book and found a phrase. He read the phrase slowly.
“I am sorry,” he said. “ I do not speak English.”

他翻开书找到了一条短语。他缓慢地读着短语。
”很抱歉,“他说,”我不会讲英语。”
