留意车主回复说，'well, it was my car'，这个什么意思呢，这里车主过来取车，车的所有权并未发生改变，为啥车主说，'it was my car'? 这里是一种委婉的去除尴尬的表达，这个车平常挺好的，可是撞成这个熊样了，能不能修好也难说，蛮尴尬的，所以说， 'it was my car'， 就好你的孩子在超市里大吵大闹，旁边的顾客投来不满的目光，你自嘲的说到，'He was a good boy.' （潜台词：他平时挺乖的，现在这个样子真让我无奈/丢脸。）

新版的课文去除了 'licence' 这个词，直接就使用 'the number of your car', 不过既然使用了旧版，我们也趁机学习一下吧， 'licence'，名词，执照、许可证，'license'，动词，给谁授权，发执照，不过，在美式英语中，无论是动词还是名词都使用 'license' 这个词，简单了好多，还是美国佬简单些。

'my car is ready'，车子修好了，时刻准备出发，用 'ready' 来形容一个东西的状况，而不是什么情况都是用 'good' ，这个算是一个体现英语能力的点吧。
